Sara joined Stilwell & Singleton at the beginning of June 2018, having moved from a firm in Thanet where she had been working for several years.  She has a wealth of experience in all aspects of family law, having practised exclusively in this area for many years, first as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and since 1994, as a solicitor.  Sara is a member of both Resolution – First for Family Law and the The Law Society's Family Law Accreditation Scheme.

Sara advises on all aspects of divorce and related issues including financial and children matters.  Financial issues can include assessment of maintenance and the division of property and assets including savings and pensions.  Children issues will include Child Arrangements Orders for residence and contact and sometimes more complex matters such as  removal of children from the jurisdiction of England and Wales to live elsewhere.

In addition to advising on divorce and related matters, Sara also advises cohabitating couples on relationship breakdown and has experience in the preparation of pre and post nuptial agreements.  Sara has also advised grandparents on contact issues with their grandchildren.

Sara is committed to working closely with her clients to achieve the best possible outcome for them by the most appropriate means.  Her straightforward and understanding manner mean that a great deal of her work is achieved through client recommendation.

Selecting the right legal help for most people is a rare moment but when it happens you just hope it’s a Sara! The decision I made has for some people been a life changer and the impact Sara had made on our lives continues. We can’t thank you enough and at the end of the day both parties came out smiling! I would highly recommend Sara.
Thank you for your kindness that day, I have felt SO much better since, and haven’t shed another tear. You helped me in more ways than I can say.
